Experience
-
Computer Vision Engineering Intern
IVSonance Biomedical
- Trained a model for polar-body recognition, segmentation, and location in oocytes to over 99% precision.
- Owned the full end-to-end development process for fine-tuning recent CV algorithms (RF-DETR, ICLR 2026).
- Optimized real-time detection algorithms to run at 25+ FPS.
-
Design Team
The Helping Hand Project — UNC Chapter
- Designing recreational 3D-printed prosthetic limbs under $50 in Onshape for children.
- Collaborating with design members to ship projects for those in need.
-
Undergraduate Researcher — Ringstad Lab
NYU Langone Health
- Reverse-engineered the developmental mechanism behind one identified sensory neuron in C. elegans, an organism whose connectome is completely mapped, by screening perturbations to isolate the causal gene.
- Ran genetic screens, genome sequencing, and functional assays to advance understanding of pmk-3 regulation in BAG sensory neuron development.
-
Undergraduate Researcher — Lai Lab
UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (DPMP)
- Organized and analyzed bioinformatics data, using computational methods to improve understanding of 40 henipaviral and related proteins for use in lentiviral vectors for gene therapy.
- Co-authoring a paper on wild-type and modified proteins and their transfectivity in lentiviral vectors.
-
Technical Project Manager
East Robotics — FRC Team 4795
- Led and coordinated the efforts of four technical subteams (programming, electrical, mechanical, design engineering) for a 100-member team.
- Guided the team to rank in the top 75 of 3,500 teams worldwide at the 2023 FIRST Robotics Competition World Championship.
-
Business Captain / Marketing Lead
East Robotics — FRC Team 4795
